A Light At The End Of The Tunnel: Drug Detox Success Story

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to drop a line and let you know that I am on top of the world two weeks after the procedure. I promise you I did not see that light at the end of the tunnel the day of or the next few days. Each day got better and better! I can’t express my appreciation for everything you guys did for me. Dave is a complete sweet heart with a bit of a crazy side in a funny way. He really made me feel comfortable (even though he blew my veins and popped me with a needle scratch down my leg) and he is an awesome guy! I’m just trying to give him a hard time. I took to him more than anyone else, so that is the reason for the humor. Just let him know how thankful I am for all he did.

I really hope Melanie decided to stay. She seems to be a very ambitious, accomplished individual. I really believe she would be an exceptional addition to the team. Please let her know I thank her and I hope she is doing well. Gary was a saint and so was Mrs. Jeannie, Mrs. Shirley and the secretary up front. I can’t begin to tell you how they made this transition so easy for me. Without them I’d be seriously ill with withdrawals.  It couldn’t have been done without the entire staff at Rapid DD. It’s not every day that exceptional people step into your life and change it for the better. All of you guys have done that for me. YOU ALL HAVE GIVEN ME MY SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE!! I just wanted you to know how much I have appreciated this experience and I will always, always remember what you have done for me. Please take care and I pray others will strive to change theirs lives in the same manner I have with your program.

Tami, Georgia

I am very bummed, I was so proud after surgery and long term use of opiates, when told suboxone was the way to get off pain pills, then only to find that their were clinics to withdraw off this drug, now it seems like I have to do this all over again, why didn,t the doctor tell me .
I guess since there is SO MUCH evil in this world . I,ll depend on GOD to save me. And hope He ( GOD) will deal with these Professional drug dealing doctors will get off the love of money so much and more in love with humanity.Anyone has a alternative to help me deal with the illheartedness I have for the scheming doctors let me know. I do not like disliking anyone, especially the medicial profession, I was taught so gratly to respect.

I understand about the misleading doctors, as I have been on Suboxone for almost 2 years now. My doctor suddenly took emergency leave with about 2 weeks notice and no prescription for his patients! I have tried twice to wean off of this crap, if I had only known then what I know now I never would have taken this “treatment”. I abused a prescription due to back problems on and off for about a year – I became physically addicted when I started taking Vicodin daily for about a year. When someone compare it to a pill form of Heroin I immediately wanted to get off of it, but feared withdrawal. Because I trusted the drug counselor and doctor she referred me to, I went on Suboxone. Now in retrospect I wish I had suffered through the sever flu symptoms of the full agonist withdrawal rather than from the less intense but longer lasting withdrawal form Suboxone, which I realized I don’t need to be on anyway!! It was an easy out for me and the doctor, but I think it is way too over prescribed. Too readily available and if you are not fully informed in advanced of the treatment, you may make the same mistake I did. I want to go to RDD but I live in Florida…hope you expand your territory to the pandhandle, you would have a lot of clients!!!
