Hi everyone, been on subs for 1yr. As allot of people here, I had to get mine off the street to come off h and oc's. Through my personal experience I can definitely say subs saved me from withdrawals from other opiates if you use a quick detox method. That can vary from person to person but It kinda goes like this. First you have to want to stop using. Once you figure this out You stop using opiates and after 24 hrs start your subs, like 4mls twice a day for 2 days. Cut that in half for the next 2 days and again until your down to a quarter. Then you should be free of withdrawals from opiates.

Now the big one. I used this method to keep from going through withdrawals when I could not afford/find my drug of choice and it worked for me every time. I can actually cut the above method in half and it still works (at least for me and some of my friends) but I started taking subs all the time when I came up with a good supplier. What a fucking mistake!!! I started out with 1 8ml a day for about a month and for some reason increased to 2 to 2 1/2 pills a day. I felt great, was more productive, enjoyed going to work, and started doing things I used to like to do. I didn't realize that I was being a complete prick to some close friends and that I was sweating like a pig at work all the time. I gained 20 pounds and started drinking like a fish. Not to mention the fact that I could barely use the bathroom because of constipation. My legs were swelling and I knew something was wrong. So I tried to come off by reducing my dosage gradually with a slightly altered method mentioned above. Didn't work. I'm in my third day of detox, missing work and wanting to kill myself and from what I have read on this site, I may have a few weeks of crap to go through. I don't know what to say. I'm happy that it works for some people and I know for myself that it can work, but you have got to be careful with suboxin. I don't know if this will help anyone and it wasn't actually why I came to this site. I was looking for things to help me with my detox symptoms and have actually found very little to help me other than to take baths and vitamins. I guess it will go away some day. Good luck all.

Ive been taking subs recreationaly for 4 months and i had no idea that the withdrwal would suck this bad, They do make you feel great with energy after a long days work and i wish we could feel that way normaly and not sore and tired when we get home. i wodering what the long term downside to it is, Like a person that has a few beers every night will probably be allright for a long time but what will subs do, Can they destroy your liver like other pills? Will alchol; actully help to come off the subs. Im just look ing for ways to get off them without feeling like this. i havent taken them in 3 days and i have a runny nose aches and pains and no will to do anything..I also have major sleep anxiety witch ive never experienced before and let me tell you thatsucks real bad. Its like something twitching inside you and burning while lying in bed. Makees you want totear your skin off.. this shit has gotta end, I dont drink much but id rather be a drunk and pass out then this....can someone who has kicked the habit please respond and tell me how they did it.. fight the power!!!

I have been taking soboxin not through prescription for the past two years. I started on the orange one on a whole pill in the morning, and a half at night. This was to break me off my laratab addiction (30 plus a day 10's). The soboxin has helped me get past this problem, but has caused me to be dependent on it instead. Here is my problem, every day I wake up I need to take the soboxin to
"feel normal". I don't want to be off this drug because in my normal life soboxin plays it's role in it, and it helps me feel right. I have tried going from a whole to a half to a quarter pill a day and still have to have it every day, or I will go through death felt withdrawals. any idea's or tricks any one know of less downing tumms or pepmobismal to stop the runs, and other pills, for the head aches and pain?. Please help us get through this less telling us to tuff it out.

hi all,
I was addicted to oxycontin and other pills for a couple years and the doctor put me on suboxone. I didnt like the way it made me feel so i slowly weaned myself off it. let me tell you that you will withdrawl from it but its not as horrible as oxycontin withdrwl its less intense but still really uncomfortable. I took a lw dose of valium and benedryl plus flexeril, which is a muscle relaxer lots of hot baths, heating pads, lots of gatorade, water. You can make it through I have faith in you all!!

heather i am also taking a very small amount of suboxone and was originally taking a lot of pain killers (oxycontin). Im not sure if u already know this but it is way easier to wean yourself off the suboxone when you start going every other day. for example if you take 1 mg a day start going every other day taking 1 mg for a week or two. then start doing 1/2 mg every other day and so on and so on.. and eventually if u can, go 2 days without and 1 day taking suboxone. I PROMISE this works better and makes it easier. and another simple suggestion is to take it at night at bed time so that u get your sleep and the next day wake up feeling more normal instead of taking it in the morning and by the middle of the night u start to feel sweaty and stuff. just tough it out during the day its easier to keep it together when you have things that can distract you and keep you occupied. (u probably already know that lol) oh yeah and those of u who want to save some money, ask for the generic subutex. this works just as well. it just doesnt have an opiate blocker... hang in there heather!!! oh and btw i have had friends that went off suboxone and it took them about a week or 2 to get through the really bad withdrawals but about 3 weeks to a month to feel about 100% normal. i hope this has been helpful!!!!! good luck!!

I have read multiple comments on this site and wanted to reach out to those who are seeing no end to the sub addiction. This is my second rodeo with sub due to norco addiction and I am currently lowering my dose on a weekly basis (currently on 4 mg a day). Yes sub is addictive, there is no doubt. BUT, YES YOU CAN OVERCOME THE SUB ADDICTION. My withdrawals lasted approx. 2 weeks the first time which included severe depression, anxiety, unable to sleep, grumpy, diahrea, sweats, etc. NOT FUN. Here are some detox suggestions. Vitamins (look online for sub detox info for vitamins to take), hot baths or sauna's which will help with the toxins in your body, exercise even if it means walking around your house or neighborhood, good diet and finally stay positive as much as possible. I know that's easier said then done but being mopey will deteriate your mind and ultimately your recovery. Finally if you are a believer trust in him and anything is possible. I know I sound hypricriticol but even believers are not perfect. GOOD LUCK to all of you cause even I am going to need it. If your thinking about going on subs I would recommend you deal with the problem you have now and steer away from subs. Either way you will deal with detox.

Be careful if you are still taking methadone, and wanting to get on suboxones. My ex-husband and I had a very bad addiction to oxy's. We were spending approx. $400.00 dollars daily, and that wasn't enough to get us high anymore. Eventually the money ran out, and the W/D's started, so we went to the methadone clinic and got on the methadone, (and all the counselors there kept increasing our doses.) So needless to say we were on to that, and did not want to be on methadone all of our lifes. So we found a local doctor that prescribes sabs, my ex-husband was still taking high doses of methadone, approx. 160mgs (liquid) daily. Anyways when we got our scripts filled for the sabs, he took one right away, and it sent him into sever withdrawl. I had to take him to the hospital and they treated him with narcotics to calm him, etc....We then decided to look on the internet for information of why this happened, and we learned that if you start sabs, and you are weening yourself from methadone, you should be taking NO more that 30 mgs(liquid) of methadone before taking the sabs. He originally lied to the Saboxone doctor and told him that he was down to 30mgs of methadone daily. So the doctor did not warn us that taking saboxone with that much methadone(160mgs) could be so serious. This is only information from experience and information we found on the internet. So to the guy who was wondering about getting off the methadone and starting sabs, be careful. Extreme withdrawls are very scary. I would also like to add that our drug use (oxy's, and methadone) has totally ruined our marriage, and we are now going thru the Big "D". Our habit has ruined so much of my life. I Dont really know how he feels because we do not speak to eachother at all, and he is still on methadone. (which i believe totally mask your feelings) I wish i could turn back time and know what i do now....Good luck to each and every one of you. God Bless
