Success StoryHappy to be alive and drug freeI have been recently struggling with an addiction. If any of you know what Methadone is, it is a Government controlled substance given to people that want to get of opiates, such heroin-fentynal-oxycontin-pain pills. I have been on this Gov. controlled substance for 4 3/4 years. If anyone knows what a methadone patient goes through, society would be sickened with our gov. Anyone can walk into a clinic and as long as they are in minor withdrawals and give a dirty urine for opiates, ding ding ding, your a winner, your now a Gov. controlled junky. You receive about as much information on the substance and it's effects on your body, as you would receive if you went and bought a bottle of Tylenol from your local pharmacist, if you get what I mean. These clinics provide you with what they consider counseling. You sit in an office with some individual who has no clue what opiate addiction is about, they are just doing a 9-5. The patient has total control of the amount of methadone taken, by simply asking for an increase in amount, because it is not holding, What I mean by not holding is that this substance is suppose to provide the patient with a fully functional day without feeling any withdrawals. In laymen's terms heroinís half-life meaning longevity last about 6-10 hours depending on the amount used, where as methadoneís half-life is between 24-36 hours. I never seemed to ever be questioned and while in CA I went from 50mgs to 120mgs in 7 days, no type of monitoring of behavior or anything. So my point being is you can have a patient on 50mgs and can have a patient on 300mgs. The problem being is everyone pays the same ($300.00) monthly. Another funny thing they don't let you in on is the amount of withdrawal from heroin to methadone, I would probably compare it to heroin being a motorcycle and methadone being a locomotive train. Heroin withdrawals can last any where from 3-7 days, where as a methadone withdrawal can last from 3-6 months, GET THE POINT. Well enough about the stinking junk, I went online about a month ago and found this wonderful place in Michigan called Rapid Drug Detox, and at the time I found this I never knew it existed. I called this wonderful angel one night and had millions of questions. Her answers calmed me until she said Methadone takes the longest to recover from this procedure. I immediately hung up the phone and ran into the kitchen where my mother was and told her that I had found this wonderful miracle place that could get me off this stuff in less than 1 hr (procedure time). Recovery time was 2 days there at a near hotel and then we were able to leave. First thing my mother asked was how much does this cost and I told her $7000.00 and she responded with when can we leave. If anyone knows my mom she is very naive and never wanted to imagine her son was a heroin addict. But she didn't even think twice. We immediately called back the following day and set up an appointment for July 26, and this is around July 1-2. Well the following week she came to me and said that she could scratch an appointment and do it a week earlier if I wanted, I was skeptical at first but then said what the heck and we moved it up to July the 19th. We pack, we leave, we get there. I am probably the only of the four patients that did it that really wanted this for myself. Sitting in the waiting room the 3 other patients come in and happy ole me starts making friends. Come to find out, one of the girls guy friends that had brought him there was from PONCA CITY, what a trip. Anyway we fill out paper work, and are to report back the next day for the procedure. The next day I am all excited to started. OK here is what I remember from my procedure, they wheel my bed into a surgical room where there is 3 doctors standing over me and that's it. The procedure goes the anesthesiologist knocks you out and then the medical doctor puts a substance in the IV that clean all of the opiates off of you brain receptors, cause that's where they collect. If awake while administering this drug, one would die from severe withdrawals, and that is where the aenesthia comes in, you are severely withdrawn, asleep feeling nothing. Next thing I remember I was laying in the bed at hotel that we had rented. Of course I felt a little crappy, but I was just put under anesthesia. So pretty much for the next to days I laid in a bed with mild flu symptoms. Check out day rolls around and we have a 1200 mile drive ahead of us, yes it was very uncomfortable, but we did it. I got back home and laid around for about 2-3 days, each day with awesome progression. Today is July 27, and just think, I was suppose to have my procedure done yesterday. So GOD sent us there to be with the other 3 patients, because I made some awesome friends. Today is my 8th day I been drug free, and life feels so different. Colors, smells, taste, I could not even believe how much of a different person that I actually was. That drug had total control of every inch of my body, and to think that I am clean for the the first time in my life is a miracle in itself. I never realized how fake of a person it made me. I am so happy to be alive and free. If you know anyone struggling with opiate addiction, don't even think twice then to tell them about my miracle and Rapid Drug Detox, (888) 825-1020. These people are not only there to help you they're also there because they love helping addicts. I'm finally a real person, Joel |
